Important: This privacy policy applies to the Chrome extension "Blank.app" developed by Blank.app Team.

1. Data Collection

The Blank.app extension respects your privacy and does not collect any personal data:

• No user account is required to use the extension
• No data is sent to our servers
• No tracking or behavior analysis is performed
• No advertising is displayed

2. Storage

Your notes and preferences are stored locally and may sync via your Google account:

• Uses Chrome storage APIs (chrome.storage and chrome.storage.sync)
• Data remains on your devices and Google Sync; not shared with third parties
• unlimitedStorage may be requested to prevent truncation of longer notes
• You can delete your data by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome storage

3. Optional Location

If the user enables the Weather panel, the extension may use coarse device location or a user-provided location to fetch local weather. Location data is not persisted by the extension and is not used for profiling or advertising.

4. Required Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• chrome_url_overrides (newtab): Replace the New Tab page
• storage and unlimitedStorage: Save notes and preferences
• contextMenus: Provide an “Insert Emoji” option in editable fields
• geolocation (optional): Show local weather when the user requests it
• Host permissions: Limited to the domains listed under “External Services”

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Blank.app extension does not use:

• No tracking cookies
• No fingerprinting technology
• No tracking pixels
• No analytics services

6. External Services (data only, no code execution)

The extension fetches optional content from the following services to display in panels. Requests include no personal identifiers; responses are used only to render content locally. We do not load or execute remote scripts or Wasm.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your notes remain private and are only stored locally in your browser.

8. Security

We are committed to protecting your data:

• Secure local storage in Chrome
• No unauthorized data transmission
• Compliance with Chrome security standards
• No external data processing

9. Your Rights

In accordance with GDPR and privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access your data (stored locally in Chrome)
• Delete your data (extension uninstallation)
• Revoke granted permissions
